Mun Chuen Transport Sdn Bhd

Our founder, the late Mr TC Wong, had started a small logistics company known as Mun Chuen Enterprise Sdn. Bhd. on 21th September 1977 (based in Kuala Terengganu).

As the company grows over time, we have expanded our operations by setting up branch offices in Kuala Lumpur, Gebeng and Johor Bahru. The company was later changed to Mun Chuen Transport Sdn. Bhd (MCT) to reflect the actual scope of services offered. We also have a wide base of business partners and sub-contractor that can support us.

Today, we have geared our services all over West Malaysia and Singapore. Coupled with prudent management as well as professional and experienced employees, we are proud to announce that we are able to arrange movement of cargo anywhere, anytime around Peninsular Malaysia and Singapore.

Since then, we have developed an outstanding reputation in the inland transportation with our own large fleet of trucks to meet the ever increasing demands in the transportation industry. MCT has the spirit to continue upgrading the service towards more efficient and better quality transportation services to our customer by increasing and upgrading the fleet size and only Volvo trucks was chosen because of its proven performance and reliability. Our current fleet size of more than 50 units of comprises of:

Curtain Sided trucks (40ft – 45ft)
Cargo Trucks (40ft to 45ft)
Pole platform trailer ( 40ft – 45 ft)

1977

Mun Chuen Enterprise (MCE) was established in Kuala Terengganu operating from a small office lot.

1982

Due to business expansion program, our first branch was set up in KL to cover the customers from Central Region (KL, Selangor, Perak, Melaka & N Sembilan)

1988

Jahor Bahru branch was setup to cover customers from Southern region

1996

Mun Chuen Enterprise Sdn. Bhd. was later changed to Mun Chuen Transport Sdn. Bhd.

1996

MCT moves into new office building which housed our Head Office and workshop (capable of truck maintenance activities - repairs, washing, etc.)

2006

We have set up our third branch in Bandar Industri Gebeng, Kuantan to tap the business opportunity in this new industrial growth area, especially in the East Coast.

2015

The company received the delivery of the first ever 3 units of Volvo FM trucks Curtain Sider 45 footer with 39,000 BDM for part of its business expansion program

2016

The company received another 2 new units of Volvo FM trucks – Curtain Sider 45 footer with 39,000 BDM

2017

Due to the good business support of our existing valued customers and better business environment, the company is investing on another 3 units of Volvo FM trucks Curtain Sider 45 footer with 39,000 BDM

2018

The company received the delivery of the first ever 3 new units of Volvo FH trucks – Curtain Sider 45 footer with 51,000 BDM

2019

The company received the delivery of the first ever 2 new units of Volvo FMX trucks – AGC 45 footer with 51,000 BDM

Graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the United States, Mr Wong Wai Mun started his journey in Mun Chuen Transport Sdn Bhd as an Operation & Marketing Executive in the year 1994. From there, he moved up the rank to become the Branch Manager and Head of Operation & Marketing Department in the year 2000. Armed with his knowledge and experience in the company, he took on the mantle as the Managing Director in the year 2016. Today, the visionary leader has made the ‘Mun Chuen’ brand a prominent name in the transport industry, serving the needs of customers throughout Peninsular Malaysia and Singapore.
